Sunday, as you may have read, Winchester had a hissy fit.
Mom, that's me, Daddy, Auntie and Uncle left Winchester on a hot September 1st
and went to the river that runs through our town.
River temperature on September 1st...
about 56°F/13°C.
It's common practice in town to float down the river on inner tubes,
or some sort of inflatable device.
Daddy and Auntie do this.
Mom and Uncle are a bit water crazy and actually swim the river.
We dive down and find random things that have been lost in the river.
Whenever Winchester says that something smells like the river...
It's usually because it's something we've found at the bottom of the river.
People drop all kinds of stuff!
Sunday, however, Uncle was the victim.
He lost his one and only car key.
(He's usually exceedingly careful about this)
So, after much searching, including a jump back in the river right before sunset,
we came up empty handed.
So, dear Winchester, we were gone much longer than we had planned.
Not to mention getting a tad hypothermic.
So, yes, we went in the hot tub.
Auntie was happy to try to take care of Winchester while Uncle and I thawed out
and Daddy went to get food.
She does not tolerate hissing. It freaks her out a bit.
Winchester was inconsolable.
He wasn't going to accept kindness from anyone that day.
Also, in all his pouting, Winchester forgot to mention.
Saturday night Mom was so proud of him!
She saw a spider run under her bed!
Who can sleep knowing that's under there?
Winchester crawled under the bed and killed it.
He usually eats bugs, but that one he left.
I was able to know for certain that the spider had been killed.
Good boy, Winchester!
Stand proud!
