Entry 2: The Truth

So here's the truth of photographing Winchester Feline:

Maybe I can use this one..

Nope.

Nope.

Yes!

Nope.

Nope.

Nope.

Oh! Winchester's tearing around the house being hyper and very cute!
I'll set up the camera while he's in the other room and let it run so when he comes
back I'll catch him in the act!

Winchester:  Hmmm...Mom's filming. Better not do anything cute.

Sigh.

Entry 1: An Introduction

Hello everyone!
I am Winchester Feline's Mom.

I don't yet know how often I will post here,
but this will be a behind-the-scenes of
Life with Winchester Feline.

If you don't know...

                                                           This is Winchester:

He was about 1 1/2 years old on May 19th 2012,
(he had the name Bootsy....um..yeah)
when we adopted him shortly after
 the passing of our beloved
cat of nearly 18 years, Keaton.
(Buster Keaton in full, but we only called him
Buster if he was in trouble, which was seldom)

Winchester has been a wonderful blessing.
He has helped heal my heart.

Keaton had a drastically different personality than Winchester.
He was calm, snuggly, sweet, shy and came when you called.

Winchester is every bit the opposite!
Hyper, aloof, bratty, outgoing and never comes when called.
And I love him dearly!

Winchester will often choose to sit near me. (not on)
He will often sit on the back of the couch with his
ever-moving tail hitting me in the face.

90 percent of the photos I take of Winchester are blurry.
Mostly because he either moves or just prefers to do cool things in low light.
(Sarcastic thanks Winchester!)

I have hopes, though.  Lately, if he's just sitting there, he actually turns
his face toward the camera!  This is new and I don't know how long it will last.

I tend to call him Winchester Feline when I'm trying hard to get his attention.
I often call him Chesters, Chesterkins,  ChestNut, when he's silly/hyper or when he's especially bratty, ChestButt.

Right now, he's sleeping "peacefully" on a chair in the living room.
However...I can just feel discontent emanating from him.
I'm quite certain if I got up and opened the door or picked up a toy he would
perk right up as is he wasn't sleeping at all.
However, it's nearly 4am here and I am NOT going for a nighttime walk!
